Happy Holidays

We just had our 15 week apointment today and everything seemed good. It was fun to hear the heartbeat and know he/she is still kicking in there. Although, I must say, I think I have felt the baby already. It's not a hefty kick or anything, just a soft movement. I'm sure I'll be pushing the baby out of my ribs before I know it. Next month we have our sonogram and yes, we will be finding out the sex. There is really no preference whatsoever. I've had dreams suggesting it's a girl, but in real life I can only picture another boy. So really, who knows and who cares as long as the baby comes out painlessly (hehe) and healthy! At this point, I've gained 1 pound... only 29 pounds to go. The kids are still really excited so this has been a great pregnancy thus far.
We hit Iowa for Christmas last weekend. We drove through Siberia coming home. Seriously, it was the worst weather conditions I've ever driven through. We were all so thankful to get home safely.
Hanukkah has started, so the kids have not been shy on gifts. My favorites are the clothes! Our own Grandma Rene keeps our kids closets full! I am lucky to have such a shopaholic (and giving) mother-in-law.
Anyhow, hope everybody survives this christmas season.

Christmas 2004 vs 2008

I just ran across these couple pictures. Brennan was about a month old. I hardly remember that time. I'll be excited to see what our 2009 picture will look like and to have a little one thrown in there again.

Snow and Showing

I've been a little lazy adding updates to the blog. So, after thanksgiving we got a good first snow. It was the wet stuff too, which we molded into a nice snowman. He's still standing, a little crooked now, but he's still all there. Adam and his dad put some lights on the house, which I don't think that mission has been completed yet. The kids had a touch of the flu post thanksgiving and I had more than a touch... I had a full body cleansing. I'm serious when I say the baby bump was gone for a day or two. However, as you can see in the pictures, the bell has no problem showing itself. It's an evening picture, so it is a bit more prominent than in the morning. I am 12 weeks and 3 days along.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving dinner went well. Everything was delicious and it was fun being with some of Adam's family and mine. If we could always be so lucky.... Hope everyone had a wonderful feast and got some good bargains on friday!

What up Baby G?

Yep, it's true. We have a third in the oven. We found out on October 12th, when I took a pregnancy test. Another baby, was something I had been throwing around for awhile. Adam finally decided alright, why not. We are all super excited. We had our first OB appointment October 29th, where we had a sonogram and saw a beating heart. We were given the due date of June 18th, which ironically is Adam's bday. We had our second appointment yesterday and after we heard the heartbeat through doppler we thought it was safe to let the world know our exciting news. I've been feeling perfectly fine. No nausea whatsoever. The biggest interference right now is having to pee during the night all the time.
I am especially excited cuz two my close college friends are also prego.. and we are all due in a month of one another. I also have a cousin who is due a week before me. Tis the season to be pregnant!!

Happy Bday Brennan

My baby is 4. We had a fun filled day of Toys R Us and Chuck E Cheese. They were both madhouses, but the kids didn't seem to notice or care. Not like me, I was like... are you kidding... there are this many people here on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm. Obviously I'm just oblivious to the fact that there is nothing else to do in this town on a cold day. My parents met us out at Chucky's. It was a relatively low-key day for us. No celebrations with kids or anything. Brennan wouldn't have cared either way. And I can deal without the abundance of hot wheels toys he probably would have received if I had a bday party blow-out. I love to dream up these events, but when they are all said and done, there's just an overwhelming amount of gifts. It's such a 50/50 thought on bday parties, however, I don't mind the kids getting invited all the time to others. Whatever, I'll never win the battle in my head.
Anyhow here are a few pictures of Brennan blowing out his candles. Enjoy.

Dupage Children's Museum

None of my pictures turned out great from this day. Probably didn't help that we had to keep our eyes on 4 wandering kids and none of them really wanted their picture taken. The little red head is my college roommate's 4 year old. I didn't get any pictures of her little guy. These 3 seemed to play well together. We'll definately have to do it again. Plus, bonus.. I got to get my favorites from Trader Joe's while we were up there.

Finally... the Nash

Not that there are a lot of pictures to share, but here are a few from our trip to Nashville a couple weeks ago. It was about a 7 hour trip, but seriously easy drive. We stayed at the Gaylord Opryland hotel which was geared up for Christmas already. I almost felt like we were in Vegas, as the hotel was it's own little world. Tons of plants, waterfalls, some restaurants and stores. All the rooms facing inward had a little balcony which was pretty cool. We went shopping at the big mall near the hotel, took a cruise down the Cumberland River on a dinner/showboat... Tina Turner/Elton John/Elvis Presley impersonators. We went to the Tennessee Titan/Green Bay Packer football game. That, amazingly, was a lot of fun. The game was sold out and the Titans have adoring fans. (I was rooting for the cheeseheads...) Titans won in overtime. An extra cool part was Lee Greenwood sang God Bless the USA at halftime. Anyhow, still won't find me watching football on TV, but going to an actual game was very cool.
The kids had their parent/teacher conferences this week. All was good. Maya is the sponge, and Brennan is your typical 3 year-old. (Although he turns 4 next week) He's a smart kid, he just doesn't realize how to put his emotions and intellect together well yet.
This past monday, the kids and I went up to Naperville to meet a friend and her kids at the Children's Museum. The kids had a lot of fun, although I didn't get to chat with my friend near as much as I hoped. It was still very nice to see her though!! I still have to download those pictures.
Tomorrow we have a wedding to go to. It's my sister's sister-in-law. It should be fun.

Trick O Treat

The kids had a great halloween this year. Maya was a mermaid and Brennan was a Lightening McQueen pitcrew guy. My parents came over to give out candy while Adam and I took the kids to our street. The weather was unbelievably awesome. I'm a retard and keep count of kids and we had close to 100 trick o treaters. I thought I had bought way too much candy, but I think I was just about right. We were one the road for Nashville by 8pm.

Array of Pictures

I haven't had much time to keep up with this so I'm throwing a bunch of random pictures up. They range from Maya's bday, grandma and grandpa's visit, Bren's halloween party, earrings... you know just an array of stuff. We're heading to the Nash after trick o treating, so it's very unlikely you'll see any halloween pictures til next week.
