Baby Shower

So my sister and mom threw me a baby shower this past weekend. I had a lot of fun and it was really simple and nice. It is always so good to get together with all my friends from high school and their moms. I love knowing these girls will always be a part of my life. Everybody was so awesome and brought me the best gift ever. Diapers!! I think I got 15 packs ranging from Newborn to size 2. That's diaper service for at least 2 months. I can't remember how many babies go through in a day anymore. Just a lot of nice gifts overall. My mom made the baby a special "Dick and Jane" quilt, which is so cute. Now we just need the baby. No, now I need to get my ass in gear and make sure we are set. I'll be 33 weeks on thursday, although, in all honesty I think I'm carrying low and would be amazed if I make it to the due date. But again, I said that with both kids and ended up right on that date. Only he knows when he's ready to get pushed into this crazy world.
Sunday was crazy, cuz we had to rush to get our basement cleared up. We are getting it finished!!! The dining room is now a toyroom and random things are under our beds and crap is in the garage. Just proof that too much misc. shit was sitting downstairs. But anyhow, lines were drawn out yesterday to frame in a bedroom/exercise/computer room and a bathroom. There will be 2 other rooms, a probably family/tv room and a kiddos area. The storage area will then be sealed off which will be so nice. 8-12 week project. At least most of the major stuff should be done by the time the baby comes.
Adam was fortunate enough to have some work thrown his way at work. He's heading to Toronto, Canada the last 2 weeks of May and the 1st week of June. Of course things are always known to change, but we're excited for him. Hopefully, the baby won't make it's debut during these times. I'm kinda excited to be able to hog a bed and pillow me up without worring about him.
It has begun! Spring babies in the neighborhood have arrived in the last few days. I believe I am the next one to go! It won't be long.

62 Days and Counting

Hard to believe how close June seems these days. I ordered a baby dresser/changer last week and it came monday. Makes me happy to have something to put clothes in. Neither of the other two had a dresser as a baby. I'm hoping to pass this one off to Maya when the babe doesn't need it anymore. My sister and mom are throwing me a baby shower next weekend. I'm superexcited to see my friends come down for it. Hopefully it will be fun for all.
The weather has been beautiful. Supposed to get close to 70 today. No complaints here. The kids love being outdoors! Speaking of, they both played their first soccer game of the year wednesday. They both did so good. It was so fun to watch.
The prego picture I added was me on Easter Sunday. Whatta belly at 30 weeks.

some photos

Here's few photos.... Baby crib bedding... isn't it so cute! Love it. Grandma Rene sent the kids some new spring clothes for Easter. Becky came over to dye eggs with the kids and Maya and I made a delicious angel food cake that was gone in a few days. Yummy yummy.

69 Days and Counting

Oh yeah, it's the final countdown. How could this pregnancy go so fast? I really don't know how my belly could get anymore larger, but I guess it has some time to do it. I went to the dr. on tuesday and everything looked good. We're every two weeks now, so that will quicken the pace. I put the crib together with the bedding last weekend. I love it! I had to lay one of Maya's baby dolls in there for fun. I took a few pictures, but still need to download them. I know, another long awaited entry and no pictures.
The kids have been on spring break this week. Hasn't seemed much different with them home than when they are in school. The nice part is I'm not driving them around constantly. I already took advantage of signing them up for a tuesday/thursday play class they can go to this summer from 9-12. They love getting out of the house and I'll have those 3 hours to sit with the baby or do the grocery shopping. I really love all the activities our park district provides us here. The summer class is gonna be a lifesaver! The kids' first soccer game of the season is next wednesday. Looking forward to sitting on the sidelines kidless and cheering both of them on. Adam is coaching again, so it should be good times.
We're hoping for some good weather on Easter. This year Easter falls on my parents anniversary so we are going out for brunch. God knows how many extra pounds that will put on me. Whatever, feed the baby. Hopefully, I'll get back down relatively quick, especially since we do have the gym membership. I'm not enormous by any means, but somedays I have to say, I look like a cow!
Kids are enjoying the warmer weather, as am I.
Today is my last day of my facebook swear off, although I did check in on sundays. I didn't have a problem staying away, but I didn't like trying to catch up on sundays. Besides that, life is swell. Pictures soon I promise.
